Privacy policy
Last updated: 13 October 2026
This policy covers the MonToit app and its presentation pages. It describes the information used and how to contact us.
Who is responsible
MonToit is a rental listing service for Togo, published by Komi Rodrigue Koudakpo in Lomé, Togo. For questions or requests about your data, contact [email protected].
Account information
When you sign in with Google, MonToit receives an account identifier, your name, email address and, if available, profile photo URL. This identifies you and links your publications and actions to your account. MonToit does not receive your Google password.
Listings and photos
Information you enter includes property type, city, neighbourhood, an optional landmark, description, amenities, financial terms, contact details and selected photos. It is used to publish and manage listings. Information displayed in a listing, photos, publisher name and contact details are accessible to visitors. Do not include identity documents or confidential information in photos or descriptions.
Information stored on your device
Your favourite listing identifiers and certain publishing preferences are stored locally. Favourites are not synchronised across devices. You can remove favourites in the app or clear local data in your device settings.
Notifications and security
A technical device token may be associated with your account for notifications. Reports, moderation decisions, publication status, verification information and restrictions are used to address abuse and secure the service. Hosting services also process connection information such as IP addresses and operational and security logs.
Photos and location
MonToit uses photos you select for your listing. Photo picker or camera access depends on the features used and device permissions. Property locations are entered as city, neighbourhood and landmark; search does not require background GPS tracking.
Service providers and recipients
Google Sign-In and Firebase Authentication handle sign-in; Cloud Firestore stores listings and moderation information; Firebase Cloud Messaging supports notifications; Oracle Cloud hosts the media service and photos. These providers may process information outside your country under their infrastructure and terms. Authorised MonToit staff access information needed for support and moderation. The presentation website is hosted on the publisher’s portfolio on Propeller and uses Cloudflare Web Analytics for traffic measurement.
WhatsApp and phone calls
When you contact an advertiser, MonToit opens WhatsApp or your device’s phone dialler. Sending a message or placing a call remains your choice. Those services process communications under their own policies; MonToit does not host WhatsApp conversations.
Use and retention
Information is used to operate MonToit, publish listings, provide support and prevent abuse. It is not sold. Account information is retained while the account exists. Listings remain visible until withdrawn, marked rented or expired; expiry alone does not delete listing history. Photos from deleted listings are removed from media storage, with periodic cleanup of orphan files.
Deletion and possible exceptions
You can request deletion of your account and associated data, or corrections, by contacting support. Deletion covers the MonToit account, listings, photos and associated notification tokens. Information strictly necessary for legal duties, disputes or abuse prevention may be retained for as long as required for that purpose; any exception affecting your request will be explained. Copies already shared with third parties cannot be removed from their devices by MonToit. Deleting MonToit does not delete your Google account.
Security and policy changes
Communications with MonToit services use encrypted connections. Authentication controls access to publishing and management operations. This policy may change as the app evolves; the update date appears at the top of this page.
